Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of a major international ballet competition? This app gives you exclusive access to the excitement and atmosphere of the Genée International Ballet Competition 2013 – the flagship event of the Royal Academy of Dance since 1931.

In 2013, 58 talented young dancers from across the world came to Scotland for ten days of intensive coaching and high-profile performance. Lynn Wallis, artistic director of the RAD, leads us from studio to stage as the dancers refine their classical solos, create brand new choreography and prepare to face expert judges including celebrated ballerina Darcey Bussell, Kevin O’Hare (director of the Royal Ballet) and Christopher Hampson (artistic director of Scottish Ballet).

The app is produced by Dance Gazette, the magazine of the Royal Academy of Dance. As well as Lynn’s exclusive filmed diary of Genée 2013, full of the dancers in action, you’ll also find sumptuous photos and a wealth of background information. See the leading dancers of tomorrow and enjoy a beautiful souvenir of a wonderful event.
